The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Corner Worth Seeking Out

On the corner of Store Kongensgade and Dronningens Tværgade in Copenhagen's inner city, Ripotot has quietly made its mark as one of the city's most compelling restaurant and winebar destinations. The name belongs to a venture built by three seasoned professionals who share a deep commitment to great produce, carefully considered cooking, and the kind of hospitality that feels genuinely personal.

The Team Behind the Experience

At the stove stands chef Mikkel Toftgaard Gregersen, whose culinary journey took him first to London and the renowned Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, before returning to Copenhagen to refine his craft at the acclaimed AOC. That pedigree is palpable in a kitchen that works with an ever-changing menu — a philosophy that keeps the cooking honest, seasonal, and alive.

Front of house is led by Camilla Sommer, restaurant manager and sommelier, whose warmth and expertise shape every visit. Her heartfelt approach to service ensures that the sophistication of the restaurant never tips into formality. Completing the trio is Kenn Husted, wine merchant and restaurateur, whose deep knowledge of the wine world anchors a list brimming with small surprises — from Jura Savagnins and Kamptal Grüner Veltliners to a rare white Vacqueyras from Mas des Restanques that has already caught the attention of critics.

A Wine List With Personality

The wine program at this Copenhagen restaurant and winebar is far from predictable. Alongside celebrated Burgundy producers and classic Champagne houses, the list ventures confidently into orange and macerated wines, Austrian naturals, and bottles from Galicia, Sicily, and even California. Non-alcoholic options from Copenhagen's own Arensbak round out the offering with equal care.

Recognition and Promise

In 2025, the White Guide awarded Ripotot its Very fine level distinction — a recognition that reflects the trio's collective experience and the consistency of their ambition. Whether you arrive for a leisurely Friday lunch or a long Saturday dinner, the restaurant and winebar delivers something that is rare: a place where the food, the wine, and the welcome all feel like they belong to the same vision.

White Guide — Very fine level

It's an experienced trio that has taken over the corner of Store Kongensgade and Dronningens Tværgade in Copenhagen. Behind the pots stands Mikkel Toftgaard Gregersen, who took his first chef steps at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London and rounded off at AOC here at home. With him are restaurant manager and sommelier Camilla Sommer, who with her knowledge, heartfelt smile, and abundance handles the service, as well as wine merchant and restaurateur Kenn Husted, whose wines supply a varied wine list with several small surprises – including a white Vacqueyras, Mas des Restanques, which with its rarity is too tempting this evening.
