Nestled on Borgergade in the heart of inner Copenhagen, Restaurant Pluto first opened its doors in the autumn of 2012. Over the years it has grown into a cherished member of a small restaurant family with a handful of addresses across Greater Copenhagen — each one united by an unwavering commitment to quality, honest food, and a lively, unpretentious spirit.

New York Soul in a Copenhagen Setting

Step inside and the inspiration is immediately clear. Raw concrete columns, bare marble tables, and dim, atmospheric lighting evoke a downtown New York loft, while the open kitchen keeps the energy palpable and the welcome unmistakably warm. With seating for 80 dining guests indoors, 40 places at the long bar, and a sun-drenched outdoor terrace for another 80, Pluto effortlessly accommodates everything from a quiet dinner for two to a full evening of social dining with friends.

The Menu: Quality Without Rules

Pluto's kitchen operates without dogma — the only rule is that quality must be high and every dish must taste genuinely great. The menu is designed to flex with your mood: begin with freshly shucked oysters or light snacks, move through shared main courses of produce, fish, and seafood, or surrender entirely to the 10-course sharing menu served family style. It is a format that turns any meal into a convivial, communal occasion.

At the long bar, the team shakes and stirs their own interpretations of classic and contemporary cocktails, complemented by an extensive, carefully curated wine list drawn predominantly from small, independent producers.
