The story
On Sigurdsgade 39 in Nørrebro — a stretch the White Guide diplomatically describes as industrially "dodgy" — Noels Restaurant & Wine Bar has carved out something genuinely its own. Recognised at the Fine level by the White Guide 2026, Noels draws attention for its modern, eco-conscious dishes, a well-considered selection of natural wines, and an atmosphere that shifts register as the evening deepens, without ever losing its guests along the way.
Noels began as a straightforward proposition: a restaurant and natural wine bar sharing a roof with the nightclub Sigurd CPH next door. Early in the evening, guests would gather for dinner and wine; as the night moved forward, the space would ease naturally into a cocktail bar and an extension of the club, connected by a single door. That organic flow between dining and nightlife is not a gimmick — it shaped the entire identity of the place.
Today, Noels operates primarily as an event-driven venue, channelling that same background in restaurant, bar, and nightlife culture into curated private evenings. Company celebrations, product launches, summer parties, end-of-year dinners — the format is designed to hold all of it: dinner, speeches, bar service, music, and whenever the moment calls for it, a seamless continuation into Sigurd CPH.
What makes Noels work is the coherence of it. Food, bar, and nightlife are gathered under one roof, removing the friction that usually breaks an evening apart. The kitchen's approach leans modern and eco-friendly, paired with the kind of natural wine list that rewards curiosity. As the White Guide noted, even when a DJ takes over and the music rises, the atmosphere never tips into something that pushes diners out the door — a balance that takes genuine skill to maintain.
For groups looking for a private setting that doesn't sacrifice quality at the table, Noels offers something Copenhagen has relatively few of: a venue where the dinner is the real thing, and the night simply doesn't have to end there.
