The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Table Above the Lake

Perched on the shores of Lake Tremblant, Restaurant La Quintessence is the dining centrepiece of Hotel Quintessence, and it has earned its reputation honestly. Rated Four Diamond by CAA/AAA and recognized by Wine Spectator with a Best of Award of Excellence, it is widely regarded as a must in the Tremblant region — and the setting alone makes the case before the first course arrives.

French Roots, Laurentian Character

The kitchen's philosophy is straightforward and confident: French influences anchored by the best ingredients local producers have to offer. The chef and his team artfully blend styles, drawing on both French and Mediterranean traditions to craft a menu that feels rooted in place without being parochial. The result is a cuisine that is refined but not remote — generous in spirit, precise in execution.

The wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator, is a serious companion to the food, and the two are clearly conceived together.

Choosing Your Setting

Few restaurants give guests this many ways to experience the same kitchen. The main dining room offers open views over Lake Tremblant, while two private salons — Aube and Crépuscule — are available for intimate gatherings or special occasions. For something more theatrical, the Chef's Table in the greenhouse sits directly off the kitchen, facing the lake, and is the place to experience the chef's tasting menu at close range.

When the season allows, the terrace is the obvious choice: summer sunsets and midday cocktails with an unobstructed view of the lake make for a meal that is as much about the moment as the plate.

Breakfast Through Evening

The restaurant runs from early morning through dinner, serving breakfast daily, a bistro service through the afternoon, and evening dining through the week. A summer three-course menu is available Sunday through Thursday from midday into the evening — a considered option for both lunch and dinner guests. Groups of twelve or more are accommodated with a dedicated table d'hôte menu.
