Society occupies a considered space at 80 Collins Street, accessed via lifts on Benson Walk — a detail that signals something deliberate before you've even sat down. Part of the Lucas Collective, it brings together three distinct experiences under one address: the Society Dining Room, Lillian Brasserie, and The Lounge, each with its own rhythm and register. The Dining Room opens for lunch Friday through Sunday and for dinner seven nights a week, while The Lounge welcomes walk-ins daily from 5pm for drinks, snacks, and post-dinner cocktails. A smart casual dress code applies throughout.

Australian fine dining with genuine depth

The kitchen's focus is contemporary Australian cuisine — produce-led, precisely executed, and designed to hold its own alongside one of the most serious wine programs in the country. The format suits both long, celebratory dinners and more relaxed midweek lunches. Private dining spaces are available seven days a week, making Society a natural choice for events that call for something beyond the ordinary.

A wine program in a class of its own

Where Society has drawn the most sustained international attention is in its cellars. With over 10,000 wines, the list spans small family winemakers to the world's most sought-after labels, with particular strength in French wines and a Château d'Yquem collection featuring vintages unavailable anywhere else in Australia. A Coravin program rotates an exceptional selection by the glass, opening bottles that would otherwise remain out of reach.

The program is led by Head of Wine Loïc Avril, with Master Sommelier Yuki Hirose among his team — credentials that underpin a remarkable run of recognition. Wine Spectator has awarded Society its Best of Award of Excellence, and The World of Fine Wine named it Best New Wine List in the World in both 2023 and 2024. Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards have recognised it across multiple categories, including Best Listing of Museum & Rare Wines and Best Digestif List in 2025.
