Nobu by the Beach

Nobu's first-ever pool and beach club at Atlantis The Royal blends Japanese-Peruvian cuisine with oceanfront views of the Dubai skyline.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A World First on the Palm

Nobu by the Beach holds a singular distinction: it is Nobuyuki Matsuhisa's first pool and beach club anywhere in the world. Set within Atlantis The Royal on Palm Jumeirah, the venue looks out over the Arabian Ocean and the Dubai skyline, combining a lagoon pool, an oceanfront bar and terrace, and a full restaurant under one minimalistic, Japanese-inspired roof. Teak, concrete, glass and wood define the interiors — earthy, understated, and quietly considered — while the open-air terrace and a live DJ soundtrack keep the atmosphere from ever feeling stiff.

The Chef Behind the Name

Nobuyuki Matsuhisa — known simply as Nobu — spent years working in Japan before moving to Lima, then Los Angeles, where his Beverly Hills restaurant became a magnet for Hollywood. Robert De Niro's early patronage led to a global expansion that now spans 50 restaurants and 13 hotels. The Japanese-Peruvian fusion he pioneered is the foundation of everything served here.

What's on the Menu

The food is built for sharing and grazing in a beachside setting, yet it loses none of the precision the Nobu name demands. Forbes Travel Guide, which recommends the restaurant in its 2026 guide, singles out the lobster and short-rib tacos, the rock shrimp tempura, and the wagyu beef and chicken sandos — served with dashi fries — as highlights worth seeking out.

The kushiyaki menu offers chargrilled octopus with mango and shiso alongside Chilean sea bass skewers, while the live robatayaki counter lets guests watch chefs work over fire with cuts including A9 rib eye with oregano miso, king crab leg, and lamb chop. Nobu's signature miso-glazed black cod appears in a lighter poolside form: served in butter lettuce cups rather than on a plate. The sashimi selection runs from yellowtail jalapeño to tuna with caviar, and the cut roll list covers everything from soft shell crab to a black cod and foie gras combination.

The cocktail menu draws on the same Japanese-Peruvian flavor logic as the food, ranging from the Hipster Fizz to the Thai Martini.

Beach Club Experiences

Beyond the restaurant, guests can reserve sun loungers, poolside daybeds, open-air cabanas, or — for the most private option — a cabana with its own plunge pool overlooking the Dubai skyline. All beach club packages include redeemable credit toward Nobu's signature dishes and drinks, making the transition from a day by the water to dinner on the terrace entirely seamless.
