The story
There are few dining settings in Dubai as singular as Pierchic's: a private pier extending over the Arabian Gulf, with the Madinat Jumeirah waterways behind you and open sea ahead. The restaurant earns its reputation not on spectacle alone, but on the quality of Italian cuisine served within that frame — recognition that includes a 2 Forks distinction from Gambero Rosso in 2024.
The kitchen is led by Chef Beatrice Segoni, whose path to the stove is anything but conventional. She began her professional life in fashion before discovering that her real calling was cooking. From a small restaurant in Porto Recanati, she made her way to Florence's celebrated Borgo San Jacopo, where she spent 14 years refining her craft. At Pierchic, Segoni brings that accumulated discipline and personal conviction to every plate. In her own words, she believes a restaurant's success stems directly from the chef's passion in every dish — and she cooks with all her heart.
The menu follows an à la carte format across lunch and dinner, with Italian cuisine as the throughline. The dress code shifts from smart casual at lunch to elegant for dinner, signalling the different registers the restaurant comfortably inhabits — a refined midday meal by the sea, or a more formal evening occasion for guests aged 12 and above. A dedicated "Chic Lunch" offering frames the daytime experience as refined Italian dining by the sea, while the "Nautical Soirée" positions dinner as something more immersive.
Beachside fine dining in Dubai can feel performative, but Pierchic keeps its focus on the food and the setting working together rather than competing. The coastal surroundings — described by the restaurant itself as serene — provide a counterpoint to the city's pace, and the Italian cuisine anchors the experience in something substantive. For a restaurant on a pier, it is notably grounded.
