The story
JUJU on Øster Farimagsgade keeps things focused and does it well: Korean fried chicken in a format that works equally well eaten in, picked up, or delivered. The White Guide 2026 awarded it a "very fine level" rating, with inspectors noting the lively atmosphere and the crowded upper room where neighbouring tables were already smiling before the food even arrived. That kind of easy warmth is hard to manufacture.
The menu is built around a handful of things done with care. Korean fried chicken wings come in portions of 6 or 10, paired with your choice of dipping sauce — Honey & Soy, Gochujang, Garlic Honey Soy, or Super Spicy — alongside pickled daikon and fries with Juju ketchup or smoked mayo. The chicken nuggets, served with pickled cucumbers and daikon, come in three sizes and share the same crisp, well-seasoned approach.
Sandwiches are where the kitchen shows its range. The classic Korean fried chicken sandwich comes with spicy gochujang, pickles, and smoked mayo. There's also a Super Spicy version for those who want more heat, a Fried Garlic variant with garlic mayo, and a vegetarian option built around fried king oyster mushrooms with sorrel, pickles, and smoked mayo — thoughtful rather than an afterthought.
The sides deserve attention: nori fries dusted with seaweed salt, chili cucumbers with toasted sesame, and two styles of kimchi — the traditional spicy version and a milder white kimchi for those who want crunch without the fire. On the drinks side, soju comes in five flavours, and the beer selection includes a 45-day pilsner and Whirl Domination from Copenhagen's own TO ØL brewery.
JUJU is open every day from 11:30 to 21:00, making it one of the more reliably accessible spots in the city for Korean fried chicken done without compromise.
