The story
Casa Madera's West Hollywood outpost sits at the heart of the Sunset Strip, inside The Valorian Los Angeles — and from the moment you step in, the address feels entirely fitting. This is the second Casa Madera location, following the original, and it carries the same founding ambition: to celebrate the culinary traditions of the Mayan Riviera through an experience that goes well beyond the plate.
The 8,000 square-foot interior was conceived by Monochrome Concept, the in-house design firm of Noble 33, the hospitality group behind the brand. The brief drew directly from sand and sea, translating the textures and palette of the Mayan Riviera into a sweeping, immersive environment. The result is a room that sets a mood before a single dish arrives — warm, expansive, and quietly theatrical.
The kitchen anchors itself in Mexican and seafood traditions, channeling the coastal flavors of the Yucatán peninsula and the Caribbean-facing shores of the Riviera Maya. Dinner runs through the week, with Sunday brunch extending the offering into the afternoon, and a "Golden Hour" window on weekday evenings adding a more relaxed, bar-forward dimension to the experience. The cocktail program is a full chapter in its own right, earning Casa Madera a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2025 — recognition that speaks to the seriousness of the beverage list alongside the food.
Casa Madera describes what it does as "all-encompassing" — and the format backs that up. Private parties, outdoor seating, and a membership program suggest a venue that operates as a gathering place as much as a restaurant. For Mexican cuisine executed with this level of design intention and critical recognition on one of Los Angeles's most storied boulevards, it earns its place on the Sunset Strip.
