The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

The Gaucho Tradition, Brought North

Chima takes its name from chimarrão, a traditional Brazilian drink long associated with warmth and shared hospitality. That spirit runs through everything at the Tysons Corner location: beef seasoned simply, cooked slowly over open flame, and brought to the table with the kind of generosity that defines Southern Brazilian churrasco culture.

The story began in 2003, when the Silva family introduced authentic Brazilian rodízio to the United States by opening the first Chima in Fort Lauderdale. The Tysons Corner outpost carries that same founding philosophy — honoring the gauchos of South Brazil who made fire-cooked meat a communal ritual rather than a transaction.

The Rodízio Experience

The format is classic Brazilian: the Full Rodízio brings a continuous parade of cuts carved tableside, while the Select Rodízio offers a more focused approach. A gourmet salad bar rounds out the spread, alongside bar appetizers and desserts. For those with specific dietary needs, a Halal Rodízio option is also available at this location, featuring premium Halal-certified meats grilled to the same standard as the rest of the menu.

The wine program earned Chima a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence — a recognition that reflects the care taken in pairing a serious cellar with the bold, fire-forward flavors of Brazilian cuisine. Happy hour specials at the bar add another dimension for those looking to settle in before the main event.

Group Dining and Celebrations

Chima Tysons is well set up for gatherings. Private parties, catering, and group dining are all part of the offering, and the restaurant marks birthdays with a complimentary Complete Rodízio Experience for the guest of honor — a gesture in keeping with the hospitality-first ethos the brand was built on.

For anyone in Northern Virginia looking for a genuine Brazilian steakhouse experience, Chima Tysons Corner delivers the tradition without shortcuts.
