The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Steakhouse Built on Sourcing

At Nicco's Prime Cuts & Fresh Fish, inside Durango Casino & Resort on the southwest edge of Las Vegas, the philosophy is straightforward: start with the finest ingredients and execute them with precision. The kitchen draws from top-tier meat purveyors, dry-aged fish markets, and straight-from-the-farm produce — a sourcing-first approach that earned Nicco's a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2024, a recognition that speaks directly to the depth and curation of the wine program alongside the food.

The Team in the Kitchen

The menu is curated by executive chefs Michael Tomorsky and Daniel Ye, whose combined approach leans into the classic steakhouse format while keeping the seafood program genuinely fresh and central rather than an afterthought. Dishes that appear on the menu include a New York Strip, Branzino, Snow Crab Tempura, and a Seafood Platter — alongside more indulgent signatures like the Nicco's 28 Burger and an 18 Layer Chocolate Cake. The bar holds its own, with cocktails like the Nicco's Negroni and the Aphrodisiac Myth setting the tone before dinner begins.

The Room

The interior was designed to feel elevated without being stiff. Terrazzo and custom-carpeted floors sit alongside finishes of wood, brass, and stone. Gold and brass accents run throughout, giving the dining room a warm, fashionable quality that matches the ambition of the food. There is also a patio and a bar and lounge — the latter serving its own Golden Hour menu on Sunday through Thursday from 4 to 6 PM, available exclusively at the bar.

Why It Stands Out

For a steakhouse in Las Vegas, standing apart from the crowd requires more than a good cut of beef. Nicco's earns its place through the combination of a chef-driven sourcing ethos, a wine list serious enough to be recognized by Wine Spectator, and a room that makes the occasion feel worth dressing for. Whether the evening begins with a dry martini at the bar or moves straight to a table in the main dining room, the experience is designed to unfold at its own pace.
