Transformed for modern comfort while deliberately preserving its historic character, it sets a clear standard for on-mountain hospitality at Aspen Snowmass' largest mountain. The wine list earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2025, a fitting nod to a program that takes fine wine seriously at altitude.

Western Meets Old World

The kitchen pitches its cuisine as "Western meets old-world," and the menu follows through. Refined indoor lunches lean European: petite veal osso bucco, elk stroganoff, charcuterie, and seasonal fruit cobbler sit alongside the kind of American comfort that makes sense after a morning on the slopes. The Italian-American thread running through the food — slow-braised proteins, composed plates, carefully sourced ingredients — gives the indoor dining room a weight and seriousness unusual for a mountain restaurant.

Three Distinct Experiences

The Cabin operates across three distinct modes. Full-service lunch runs from 11:30am to 2:00pm, with reservations recommended for the elegant indoor room. From 2:30pm to 4pm daily, the newly renovated deck comes alive with tacos, craft beverages, and a state-of-the-art DJ booth and live music stage — making it the on-mountain après epicenter at Snowmass. After dark, the snowcat dinner experience transforms the cabin-in-the-woods setting into something altogether more atmospheric.

Events and Private Gatherings

The venue also accommodates private events of real scale: outdoor ceremony seating for up to 200 guests, with the cabin itself seating up to 60 for receptions. The surrounding aspen trees and panoramic Rocky Mountain views make it a sought-after backdrop for mountaintop celebrations, backed by the catering and event management team of Aspen Snowmass.
