Superior's Steakhouse

Chicago-style fine dining in Uptown Shreveport: USDA-aged beef from Allen Brothers, an award-winning wine list, and a swanky piano bar.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

Superior's Steakhouse brings a Chicago-style steakhouse experience to Uptown Shreveport, occupying a comfortable yet unmistakably upscale space in Towne Oak Square at the corner of Line and Pierremont. The dress code is business casual, the atmosphere is one where guests come to see and be seen, and the intent is straightforward: deliver superior class, comfort, and food in equal measure.

The Steaks

The beef program is the backbone of the menu. All USDA aged steaks are sourced exclusively from Allen Brothers of Chicago — a supplier the restaurant describes as offering "the finest beef in the country." Cuts run from a 4 oz. center-cut filet mignon up through a 32 oz. prime tomahawk ribeye for two, with options like a bone-in filet, a prime Kansas City strip, and a 14 oz. center-cut prime ribeye in between. For something exceptional, the menu features A.5 Japanese Tajima Kobe beef — exclusive to Superior's — available as a filet, New York strip, or ribeye. Steaks can be finished with lagniappes including jumbo lump crab meat with beurre blanc, Oscar style, crawfish étouffée, or classic sauces like béarnaise and hollandaise.

Beyond the Beef

The kitchen reaches well beyond the steakhouse category. Dinner appetizers include char-grilled oysters, raw gulf oysters, seared ahi tuna, Korean steak lettuce wraps with house pickles, shrimp and grits, and Louisiana crawfish cornbread. The seafood section offers a full Seafood Tower for two — whole Maine lobster, gulf coast raw oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and jumbo lump crab meat — alongside Louisiana blackened redfish over crab meat risotto, trout amandine, and New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp over whipped russet potatoes. A sushi menu, including house rolls like the Tsunami and Raul's Roll, rounds out the range.

The Wine List

Wine Spectator recognized Superior's with its Best of Award of Excellence, a distinction that reflects the depth and breadth of what's on offer here. The list spans Champagne houses from Krug and Dom Pérignon to Veuve Clicquot, American Cabernets from Caymus, Silver Oak, and Jordan, white Burgundies, Italian reds including Brunello di Montalcino and Barolo, and an extensive by-the-glass program featuring premium pours from producers like Kosta Browne, Flowers, and Beaulieu Vineyards' George de Latour Private Reserve.

The Room and the Bar

Live music plays Wednesday through Saturday in the piano bar — a "swanky" space that sets the social tone for the evening. Banquet rooms are available for private events and catering, and a Sunday brunch rounds out the weekly calendar. For a fine dining steakhouse in Shreveport, Superior's covers the full spectrum: serious beef, a Louisiana-inflected menu, and a wine program that earned national recognition.
