The story
The French Quarter Restaurant operates inside the Men's Club of Reno, a downtown institution that has been running for over 30 years. While the venue is best known as Reno's premier adult cabaret, the kitchen takes its role seriously — seriously enough to earn a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2025, a recognition that speaks directly to the depth and curation of the wine program on offer.
The kitchen is led by head chef Francisco Carrillo, whose menu spans a wider range than most late-night dining rooms dare to attempt. Burgers, grilled steaks, handcrafted pasta, and a complete vegan menu sit alongside specialty sushi from the in-house Mermaid Sushi Bar — a full-service sushi counter offering rolls, sashimi, and specialty creations well past the hours most Reno restaurants have closed for the night. Thursday brings an Italian night with a rotating selection of pasta dishes; Taco Tuesday delivers a variety of authentic tacos. The American backbone of the menu holds up across lunch, dinner, and late-night service.
The Wine Spectator recognition reflects a bottle selection described as massive, drawing from producers around the world. Wine Down Wednesday offers 50% off that entire list — an unusually generous entry point for anyone who wants to explore the cellar without committing to a full-price bottle. Handcrafted cocktails and VIP bottle service round out a beverage program built for a crowd that stays late.
Valet parking is complimentary. The Balcony VIP Table offers a reserved perch above the main floor, suited to birthdays, bachelor parties, or any occasion that calls for a dedicated space. Happy hour runs daily from 7 to 8 PM with half-off select food and drinks. The room is open every evening from 7 PM into the late hours — making French Quarter one of the few fine dining options in Reno that genuinely operates on a nightlife schedule.
