The Blue Moon has been a fixture of downtown Rehoboth Beach for over four decades. What began as a gracious private residence — a Sears Craftsman house built in 1907 — was transformed in 1981 into one of Delaware's most celebrated dining destinations. The beautifully restored Victorian building is, in itself, a work of art, and the experience inside lives up to the setting.

Locally owned and operated, the Blue Moon thrives on treating guests like friends rather than customers. That philosophy, sustained across more than 30 years of community life, explains why locals have made it a landmark and why visitors are told: you can't say you've been to Rehoboth Beach until you've been to the Blue Moon.

Food, Wine, and Theatrics

The kitchen's approach to American cuisine is straightforward and honest: menus change constantly to follow the freshest available ingredients. When a rockfish is reeled in or newly-picked asparagus arrives, the menu updates immediately. The result is a dining room where the food feels alive rather than fixed — seasonal, responsive, and worth remembering.

Wine receives the same attention. The list earned Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, a recognition that reflects the care taken in pairing selections to the restaurant's ever-shifting menu.
