In 1979, Bob Perry opened a modest meat market in Houston, Texas, building a neighborhood following on the strength of his selections and straightforward service. Seven years later, his son Chris Perry persuaded him to add dining tables — a small step that changed everything. The concept caught on quickly, and in 1993 Chris opened Perry's Steakhouse & Grille, the restaurant that would grow into one of the country's premier steakhouses.

The Raleigh location on Creedmoor Road carries that same lineage. Every detail — from the sourcing of USDA Prime beef to the attentiveness of the floor staff — traces back to those butcher shop roots that the Perry family has never let go of.
