Panorama Restaurant & Wine Bar sits inside the Penn's View Hotel on North Front Street, right in the heart of Philadelphia's Old City. The setting — a romantically lit dining room with a wine cellar at its core — frames an Italian restaurant that takes its food and its wine with equal seriousness. Wine Spectator has recognized Panorama with its Best of Award of Excellence continuously since 1993, a distinction that speaks to the depth and consistency of what arrives in your glass.

The Wine Collection

The wine program is, quite simply, the defining feature of the place. Panorama holds a Guinness World Record as the World's Largest Wine Keeper, with over 150 wines available by the glass, more than 30 sommelier-selected wine flights, and upwards of 400 reserve bottles. Expert sommeliers guide guests through the list, whether through a casual flight at the bar, a structured wine class held on the last Sunday of each month, or a private tasting experience ranging from a Classico flight to a full Riserva experience. The monthly Wine Club offers members half-price wines by the glass on Sundays, complimentary access to featured classes, and 20% off food and beverage — a genuine community built around the pleasure of discovery.

The Italian Kitchen

The menu is anchored in Italian cuisine elevated with care: house-made burrata, hand-rolled pastas, and dishes built around veal, lamb, steak, and seafood. The photo gallery hints at cavatelli, gnocchi tartufo, rigatoni, branzino, and veal loin — a range that moves comfortably between rustic tradition and contemporary refinement. Sunday brunch runs from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and a happy hour at the bar draws a regular crowd on weekday afternoons.
