The story
H&W Steakhouse is the latest fine-dining concept from Norsan Restaurants, a North Atlanta hospitality group with over 35 years of experience behind celebrated addresses including Frankie's the Steakhouse and Pampas Steakhouse. That deep institutional knowledge shows in every detail at H&W — from the polished dress code to a wine program that earned the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2024.
Executive Chef Raymundo Candelas leads the kitchen day to day, supported by Corporate Chef Luis Ramirez and Corporate Executive Chef Thomas Minchella — a three-chef structure that signals serious culinary intent. General Manager Michael Gallagher oversees the floor, and Private Dining Coordinator Mariana Bicker handles the restaurant's robust private events program.
The steakhouse menu covers a wide range of prime cuts: Tomahawk (37oz), a 48oz Double Bone-In Ribeye, Porterhouse, and Filet Mignon in three cuts — center, double, and bone-in. American Wagyu appears across several preparations, and finishing options include Black Truffle Butter, Foie Gras Butter, and Jumbo Lump Crab Oscar.
Seafood holds its own alongside the beef. Starters span Royal Ossetra caviar service, Josper Scallops with edamame succotash, Coal Fired Octopus with romesco and chimichurri, and Millionaire Oysters topped with tuna, serrano, and salmon caviar. The iced and roasted shellfish towers — built around Maine lobster, jumbo shrimp, scallops, mussels, and oysters — make a strong case for the seafood side of the menu. Main-course seafood options include Dover Sole with lemon, capers, and brown butter; Sea Bass with black garlic shoyu; and Cedar Planked Ora King Salmon from the Josper oven.
Lunch, available on Fridays, offers a tighter but equally considered selection: a Prime Burger on the restaurant's signature blend, Fish & Chips with fresh halibut, Steak Frites with American Wagyu, and the Steak & Wedge salad with an 8oz New York Strip.
H&W enforces a strict dress code — collared shirts for men, elevated attire for women — signaling that the room is meant to feel like an occasion. The bar opens at 4 PM and the wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator, is designed for pairing across the full breadth of the steakhouse and seafood menu. Private dining and large-group accommodations are available for those who want to mark something special.
