The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Family Story That Begins in Milan

Giordano "Giordi" was born in Milan into a family of restaurateurs. By age eight he was already absorbing the rhythms of the business, inspired above all by his mother's devotion to it. After school he trained at some of Milan's most prestigious hotels, building a thorough understanding of the craft from kitchen to dining room. His first restaurant, Mister Marlin, opened in Milan in 1992, and a string of ventures followed — Señor Marlin in 1998, Mister Marlin Lounge Bar in 2002, and in 2004 an expansion to Formentera, Spain, with Mister Charly, named in honour of his father.

In 2009, Giordi relocated to the United States with his wife Simona, daughter Alessandra, and son Alberto Carlo, drawn by what the family describes simply as the "American Dream." It was only a matter of time before Alberto stepped into the business alongside his father, and the restaurant that bears Giordi's name is the result of that partnership — a son choosing to carry on a legacy, working side-by-side with the person who inspired it.

The Kitchen's Guiding Idea

Ristorante Giordi describes its cooking as "a refined interplay of globally-inspired artful flavors and emotions, rooted in the simplicity of authentic Italian cuisine." That balance — between the discipline of Italian tradition and a restless curiosity about European flavors more broadly — has defined Giordi's approach across three decades and multiple countries. He continues, in the restaurant's own words, to "challenge his creativity, constantly seeking to create authentic and revolutionizing recipes."

The menu reflects that philosophy in two distinct modes: a regular dinner menu for guests who prefer to compose their own evening, and a Chef's Table Tasting Menu for those who want to hand the reins entirely to the kitchen. The tasting menu format, paired with the option for wine pairing, gives the team room to express the full range of their Italian and European repertoire.

Recognition and the Wine Program

Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence — earned in 2025 — speaks directly to the seriousness of the cellar here. For a reservation-only dinner restaurant in Stuart, Florida, that kind of recognition is not incidental; it signals a wine program built with the same care applied to the food. The pairing menus make the most of it.

The restaurant also accommodates private parties and catering, and outdoor seating extends the experience beyond the dining room. Alberto and Giordi's stated aim is straightforward: to share their passion for authentic food and wine with their neighbors in South Florida, and to make the community of Stuart feel the warmth of a genuinely family-run table.
