The view is genuinely dramatic, but the restaurant earns its reputation on the plate as much as through the window. Oklahoma City is more than the backdrop here; it's the explicit inspiration behind a locally sourced American menu that changes with the seasons and reflects the rhythms of everyday life in the region.

Wine Spectator recognized Vast with its Best of Award of Excellence in 2024, a distinction that speaks directly to the depth and curation of the wine program. The Kitchen and the Team

Executive Chef Jonas Favela leads the culinary program with a philosophy shaped by two decades in Oklahoma City's dining scene. A Las Vegas native of Mexican heritage, Favela traces his passion for cooking back to his family kitchen, where he learned that a thoughtfully prepared meal is, at its core, an act of connection. At Vast, he translates that belief into menus that balance bold flavors with careful presentation, always with hospitality as the foundation. His approach is disciplined but intuitive — the kind of cooking that feels considered without being rigid.

On the events side, Private Dining Sales Manager Amanda Shannon has been part of the Vast team since day one. Her decade-plus of experience shapes an events program — from intimate private dinners to large celebrations — that carries the same standard of care as the main dining room.

What to Expect

The American menu spans a weekday lunch, priced accessibly at a fixed rate with house-made desserts included, through to a full dinner service that runs into the evening on weekends. The Nova Lounge on the upper floor extends the experience for those who want cocktails and bar food without a full table commitment. A dress code — business casual to formal, no gym attire in the dining room — signals the tone: elevated but not stiff.

Private dining rooms, wedding packages, and a full events program round out the offering, making Vast one of the few places in Oklahoma City where a working lunch, a milestone anniversary, and a wine-paired dinner tasting can all happen under the same roof — just a little closer to the sky than anywhere else in town.
