The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

America's Steakhouse, with an Ocean View

Smith & Wollensky's Miami Beach location sits at South Pointe Park on Washington Avenue, where the Atlantic sets the backdrop for one of the most recognizable steakhouse names in the country. The setting brings something the brand's other addresses cannot replicate: oceanview outdoor spaces, VIP accommodations, and sweeping skyline views that make it distinctly, unapologetically Miami.

The story behind the name began in New York City in 1977, when founder Alan Stillman and an eclectic group of locals built a steakhouse on the principles of honest hospitality and uncompromising quality. Nearly five decades on, those founding values still drive every location — and Miami Beach is no exception.

Beef Sourced, Aged, and Taken Seriously

The steakhouse's commitment to its product is specific and traceable. USDA Prime cuts are grain-fed, humanely raised, and sourced from a network of small family farms through partners Double R Ranch and Snake River Farms. Every steak is aged in-house for a minimum of 28 days to deepen flavor and tenderness. The signature Swinging Tomahawk — a 44 oz. American Wagyu bone-in ribeye finished tableside with a hand-seared crust — has earned its place in the brand's Hall of Fame alongside a Signature Seafood Tower stacked with colossal crab, Maine lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, and oysters on the half shell.

The wine program earned Smith & Wollensky a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2023, a recognition that reflects the depth of the cellar and the care given to pairing. The list includes a notable partnership with Charles Krug Winery, Napa Valley's oldest winery, offering a range from bold reds to crisp whites suited to the steakhouse table.

Led by Someone Who Knows the Room

Henry Delgado has managed the Miami Beach business for over 14 years — becoming General Manager in 2007 and Managing Partner in 2016. His tenure, along with past leadership of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, speaks to the kind of rooted, community-connected hospitality that distinguishes this location from a chain outpost.

Beyond dinner, the space accommodates private parties with dedicated event spaces, and the outdoor areas make it one of the more atmospheric steakhouse settings in South Florida.
