Wine Dive + Kitchen occupies a prime spot in downtown Manhattan, Kansas, inside the historic Marshall Theatre Building at 4th and Houston. Part of a small Kansas group with locations also in Wichita and Lawrence, the Manhattan outpost has earned a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence — a recognition that reflects genuine depth and curation in its wine program, not just a long list.

The Menu: American Cooking With Range and Ambition

The food here is American in spirit but draws confidently from Mediterranean, Asian, and Southern influences. Starters set the tone quickly: panko-crusted wild mushroom arancini with red pepper romesco, Ahi nachos on fried wonton chips with eel sauce and sweet chili, and Moroccan-spiced lamb meatballs finished with mint yogurt sauce. The lamb sliders — house-made patties with caramelized red onion, feta, and arugula — have the kind of specificity that signals a kitchen paying attention.

A 16oz bone-in Black Angus ribeye and a beef tenderloin with herb compound butter and Yukon gold gruyere mashed potatoes anchor the heavier end of the American menu.
