The story
Gaucho Brazilian SteakHouse has been bringing the traditions of Southern Brazil to Northville Township since 2007. The concept traces its roots to the Pampas region, where the chic fireside roast — churrasco — was born among the gauchos, the skilled horsemen and cattle herders who gave this restaurant its name. That heritage is taken seriously here: the dining room is appointed with a waterfall feature and Brazilian cherry wood, creating an atmosphere that feels both vibrant and considered.
The heart of the meal is the full rodizio service. Gauchos — the meat carvers — move continuously through the dining room bearing skewers loaded with up to 15 different cuts: beef, lamb, chicken, pork, and sausage, all offered tableside until you say otherwise. Alongside the parade of skewered meats, an elaborate 40-item gourmet salad bar and six inventive side dishes — including cheese bread, polenta, mashed potato, and banana — are served in the round as part of the fixed-price menu. The kitchen also prepares pan-seared sashimi-grade tuna and salmon for those who want something from the sea.
The wine program earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, a mark of a cellar curated with genuine care to complement a Brazilian steakhouse table. Beyond the core rodizio, Gaucho accommodates a wide range of guests: dedicated vegan and gluten-free menus are available, children eat at reduced prices, and seniors have their own special pricing. A private room handles parties, and the restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible — details that reflect the Michigan-owned team's attention to hospitality across the board.
