The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

The Wigwam's Signature Table

Litchfield's is the signature restaurant of The Wigwam resort in Litchfield Park, Arizona — a place where the history and culture of the Southwest shape everything from the atmosphere to what lands on the plate. The exhibition kitchen sits at the heart of the room, and the menu draws deliberately on local and organic ingredients, reflecting a commitment to the surrounding community as much as to the craft of cooking.

Wine Spectator recognized the restaurant with its Award of Excellence, a distinction that speaks to the depth and care of the wine program — one spanning red blends, whites, sparkling wines, and an Arizona-sourced craft beer list that includes local producers from Tucson, Phoenix, and beyond.

Pecan Wood, Local Farms, Southwestern Instinct

The defining technique here is the pecan wood-fired grill, fueled by locally harvested wood. It anchors a steakhouse-rooted menu that ranges from an 8oz Prime Filet and a 14oz Ribeye to a 36oz Wagyu Tomahawk Chop — each available with enhancements like truffle butter, chimichurri, or butter-poached lobster tail. The Southwestern American character of the kitchen comes through just as clearly in the starters and mains: a Crab Cake arrives with avocado crema and guajillo chile; Hot Rocks pairs buffalo tenderloin with corn-cake and roasted jalapeño crema; and Pan-Seared Gulf Red Snapper is finished with mango pico de gallo, tomatillo emulsion, and lime-infused corn crisps.

Named-source proteins appear throughout — Mary's Farm Roasted Half Chicken with carrot molé and pistachio pesto, Maple Leaf Farms Duck combining leg confit and seared breast, Duroc Heritage Pork Chop brined in orange and coriander. Seasonal produce drives the salads and sides, from a chopped salad with local goat cheese and stone fruit to bourbon creamed corn and harissa honey-glazed baby carrots.

Cocktails with a Sense of Place

The bar program leans into Arizona identity. The Copper Cosmo — served in a real copper coupe — pays tribute to the state's role as the nation's leading copper producer. The Smoked Old Fashioned, made with Knob Creek Single Barrel Bourbon and presented tableside with a smoke show, is the house signature. A Woodford Reserve bottled as Litchfield's personal selection anchors the Manhattan.

A Room Worth Returning To

Guests consistently point to the combination of food and setting as what makes Litchfield's stand out in the West Valley. "Uniquely seasoned meats and special desserts in a Southwestern and historic setting," notes one regular. Private dining is available for intimate gatherings, and the restaurant has long offered seasonal menus that shift with what's available locally.

Note: Beginning June 1, 2025, Litchfield's is closed for a renovation focused on the bar area and overall dining experience, with a planned reopening in early fall 2026.
