A Wine Bar with Roots

Wine Dive + Kitchen has been delighting wine and food enthusiasts since 2010, when it first opened in Wichita, Kansas. A second location followed in Manhattan, KS in 2017, and the concept has since made its home on the iconic Massachusetts Street in Lawrence — bringing the same commitment to quality that earned the brand its loyal following across the state.

That commitment is no small thing. Wine Spectator recognized the Lawrence location with its Best of Award of Excellence in 2024, a distinction reserved for restaurants with exceptional depth and breadth in their wine programs. It's a fitting honor for a place that describes its purpose simply: sourcing the finest wines from around the globe.

What to Expect

Wine Dive + Kitchen operates as a full-service restaurant and wine bar, open for happy hour, dinner, late-night seatings, and weekend brunch. The American menu is built around the finest and freshest ingredients, complemented by creative cocktails and a wine list serious enough to impress collectors without intimidating casual drinkers.

The events calendar reflects the team's genuine enthusiasm for wine education. Past evenings have included a sold-out Sicilian Wine Dinner pairing Italian dishes with regional bottles, and intimate "Meet the Winemaker" sessions — one featuring winemaker Francois Haasbroek pouring five wines from Blackwater Estate in South Africa alongside cheeses from Green Dirt Farm and a charcuterie course. These aren't marketing exercises; they're the kind of evenings that regulars plan their calendars around.
