The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

The Morimoto Way

At MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip, Morimoto Las Vegas arrives as a newly reimagined destination where design and dining are inseparable. The space draws on contemporary Japanese aesthetics — delicate beauty and elegance — anchored by exotic photography from Yasumichi Morita and a signature Morimoto touch that sets the tone from the moment guests walk in.

Iron Chef, No Rules

The restaurant carries the philosophy of its namesake, Chef Masaharu Morimoto, who puts it plainly: "No rules. Don't be afraid to do whatever you want. Cooking doesn't have to have rules. I don't like it that way." That spirit shapes everything on the plate. The menu moves across Japanese cuisine with confidence — a Sashimi Platter of Big Eye Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon, and Snapper; a Takoyaki Roll built around deep-fried octopus with bonito flake and takoyaki sauce; and a 12oz American Wagyu New York Strip finished with beef jus, a nod to the kitchen's willingness to cross boundaries.

Teppanyaki at the Grill

For guests who want to sit closer to the action, Morimoto Teppanyaki offers an interactive format: skilled chefs prepare dishes directly on the teppan grill, with an emphasis on presentation, intricate garnishes, and creative plating. It is a distinct experience within the same space, suited to those who want to watch the craft unfold in real time.

A Cellar Worth Noting

The wine program at Morimoto has earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2025 — recognition that reflects a list carefully matched to the range and depth of Japanese and Asian-influenced cooking on offer here. It is the kind of program that rewards those who take time to explore it.

Private Dining

For larger gatherings, Morimoto accommodates private parties and group reservations, with dedicated Large Party Specialists available for groups of fifteen or more. The lounge and private dining spaces make it a practical choice for celebrations or business dinners that call for something more considered than the ordinary.
