The story
Inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Cítricos offers something genuinely distinct from the resort's other dining options: a Signature Dining experience built around Chef Andres Mendoza's Florida cuisine with a clear Mediterranean influence. The menu reads with the confidence of a kitchen that knows its ingredients — Strawberry Salad and Sweet Corn Bisque to open, followed by mains like Guava-Barbecued Short Ribs and Butter-Poached Florida Cobia. Desserts hold their own too, with a Profiterole Trio and a Guava-Cheese Fusion rounding out the meal.
The dining room draws from the animated garden sequence in Mary Poppins Returns, with motifs of flowers and butterflies woven into a fanciful yet sophisticated interior. It's a setting that manages to feel both theatrical and genuinely elegant — attire to match is expected, and the dress code is enforced.
Wine Spectator recognized Cítricos with its Award of Excellence in 2025, and the list earns it. Wines are sold by the ounce using preservation technology that keeps bottles fresh and allows guests to explore beyond the glass. Sommeliers are on hand throughout the evening to guide pairings — a detail that elevates the experience well beyond typical resort dining.
Cítricos is a dinner-only, à la carte service running from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. The restaurant also temporarily absorbs brunch service from mid-July through October 2026 while the adjacent Grand Floridian Cafe undergoes refurbishment — an added reason to book early if you're visiting during that window.
