The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Family Table, Elevated

One Rare Italian Steakhouse is a family-owned and operated restaurant at 16 East Parkway in Scarsdale, at the heart of Westchester County. The premise is straightforward: bring the warmth of Italian hospitality to the classic American steakhouse format, and do both with genuine care. That combination has earned the restaurant a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and a loyal following that stretches across White Plains, Bronxville, Eastchester, and beyond.

The Meat of the Matter

The kitchen dry-ages its beef in-house, and the menu reflects that commitment to quality at every turn. USDA Prime cuts — New York sirloin, bone-in ribeye, filet mignon, porterhouse for two, three, or four — share the stage with a signature dry-aged Tomahawk for two and wagyu selections. Sauces run from pomegranate cabernet to truffle butter, giving each table room to personalize. For guests who want something beyond the steakhouse canon, the Italian side of the kitchen delivers: wild mushroom ravioli with truffle cream, pappardelle with short rib ragout, linguini frutta di mare with lobster and clams, and a tagliatelle Bolognese built on dry-aged beef ragout and San Marzano tomatoes.

The raw bar adds another dimension — a full seafood platter of lobster, jumbo shrimp, crab, clams, and oysters, alongside yellowfin tuna tartare with ginger ponzu and wagyu sliders to start. Sides like Brussels sprouts with soy glaze and bacon, or parmesan truffle fries, round things out with the same attention to detail.

Sunday Brunch and Special Occasions

Sunday mornings bring a distinct menu: steak and eggs built around an 8 oz filet mignon, a Norwegian Benedict with smoked salmon and béarnaise, challah French toast with mascarpone and blackberry compote, and a dry-aged burger that holds its own against the weekday dinner lineup. Boundless mimosas and bellinis complete the picture.

The restaurant's private dining rooms accommodate birthdays, corporate dinners, weddings, and celebrations of all kinds, with the team working directly with guests to shape each event. The space is modern yet comfortable — the kind of room that works equally well for a quiet dinner for two or a full-table celebration.

Voted Best Steakhouse of 2025 and recognized by Wine Spectator for the quality of its wine program, One Rare Italian Steakhouse has established itself as one of Westchester County's most consistent destinations for Italian steakhouse dining done right.
