The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A New York-Style Wine Bar in Doylestown's Historic District

Frost Lounge sits on East State Street in Doylestown's Historic District, bringing an upscale, New York-style wine bar and martini lounge sensibility to Bucks County. The concept is built around connection — a space where guests share plates, discover new wines, and unwind in a setting that takes both hospitality and atmosphere seriously. Smart casual dress is expected, and the staff holds itself to the same standard.

The wine program is the backbone of the operation, and it has earned recognition to match. Frost is the first establishment in Doylestown Borough to receive Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence — an honor it has now claimed three consecutive years, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The collection was assembled and is curated by Head Sommelier and Wine Director Jenn McMahon-Drutz, who brings more than 15 years of hospitality and wine management experience to the role. Her stated mission is to make wine more approachable while introducing guests to bottles that become genuine favorites. The list spans Burgundy Premier Crus, aged Riojas, Napa Cabernets, and Greek Assyrtiko — all available by the glass or bottle, with select pours offered via Coravin.

Eclectic Modern Fusion, Rooted in Mediterranean Flavors

The kitchen describes its output as "eclectic modern fusion" with international influences, and the menu bears that out. Mediterranean flavors run through much of it — a generously loaded Mediterranean Platter with homemade hummus, marinated olives, tabouli, fried eggplant, and stuffed grape leaves; Veracruz-style octopus ceviche; seared scallops with red bell pepper sambal and tabouli; and chef's authentic empanadas served alongside tabouli. Everything is made in-house from fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the kitchen offers strong gluten-free and vegetarian options throughout.

For those wanting more than small plates, the full-fare section delivers: panko-crusted double bone Colorado lamb chops, a Côtelette à la Kiev with herb butter and garlic whipped potatoes, hand-selected filet mignon with homemade green peppercorn au poivre sauce, and a Caviar Tower with chilled vodka or Champagne for the table. OpenTable diners have recognized the experience with a Diners' Choice award in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

The cocktail list is equally considered — house-made mixers from locally sourced fruits and herbs, specialty martinis, and a rotating seasonal sangria. Upstairs, a private Speakeasy Lounge with access to a rooftop deck and live piano music offers a members-only tier of the experience. For those on the main floor, daily happy hour keeps things accessible.
