On the seventh floor of Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, Adorn Bar & Restaurant looks out over the Magnificent Mile and the downtown skyline with the kind of quiet confidence that comes from knowing exactly what it is. The premise is straightforward: an ingredient-driven American menu, a convivial atmosphere, and a commitment to the city's culinary character — familiar ideas transformed through unexpected flavors and presentations.

The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, earned in 2024, reflects the seriousness with which Adorn approaches its cellar. Sommelier Anna Wojcik oversees a wine list broad enough to support everything from a weekday lunch to a dedicated wine dinner — the restaurant has hosted evenings built around the wines of Opus One, giving a sense of the ambition involved.

The Team Behind the Table

Executive Chef Brent Balika leads a kitchen that keeps the menu grounded in good ingredients while reaching for something more considered. Executive Pastry Chef Yudith Bustos Taleno handles the sweet side of the operation, and General Manager Victoria Hutchinson oversees the room. Together they shape a dining experience that moves comfortably across the day — breakfast through late night, brunch on weekends, happy hour Sunday through Thursday.

The menu reads like a confident edit of American cooking: Rare Tea Cellar Reserve caviar service alongside truffle fries and a Wagyu corned beef Reuben; heirloom beets with burrata next to a hanger steak with truffle jus. The bar bites program and a dedicated happy hour make the space as useful for a drink and a snack as for a full dinner.

Live in the Lounge

The atmosphere at Adorn draws as much from Chicago's cultural life as from its food scene. A live music residency — Live in the Lounge — brings a rotating cast of performers through the room: South American guitarists, veterans of the Chicago jazz scene, DJs spinning house, funk, and disco. The result is a soundtrack that shifts with the crowd and the hour, giving the space genuine energy without manufactured noise.
