Celebrated table

Le Bon Nosh

A French-influenced all-day restaurant and wine bar in Atlanta's Buckhead, where chef Forough Vakili turns simple, seasonal ingredients into genuine hospitality.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Place Built on the Belief That Good Food Nourishes Community

Le Bon Nosh occupies Suite 103 of The Irby building in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood, and from the moment it opens each morning it operates as something harder to categorize than a typical restaurant. It is, at once, a French-influenced dining room, a market, a barista-driven coffee bar, and an evening wine destination — all shaped by a single conviction: that eating well should feel personal, not transactional.

The Story Behind the Name

Founder and chef Forough Vakili arrived at this concept through an unusually disciplined path. A chemical engineer by training from Georgia Tech, she left that career to attend Le Cordon Bleu Paris, then worked at a two-Michelin-star restaurant in Brittany, France. Back in Atlanta by 2013, she spent years as Porsche's exclusive food operations consultant, overseeing a fine dining restaurant, a staff canteen, and catering at the brand's North American headquarters in collaboration with Bon Appétit Management Co. All of that — the precision of engineering, the rigour of classical French technique, the logistics of large-scale hospitality — eventually converged into Le Bon Nosh.

"I want every guest to feel like they are eating at my dining room table," Vakili has said. Her stated goal is straightforward: bring back the simplicity of good food and the art of hospitality, and inspire guests to eat wholesome ingredients and understand how to prepare them at home.

How the Day Unfolds

The space shifts register throughout the day. Mornings and afternoons run on Intelligentsia Coffee, freshly baked pastries, and a rotating selection of oat bowls, toasts, tartines, seasonal soups, and comfort classics — available either at full table service or quick counter service, depending on your pace. Come evening, the coffee bar closes, the room settles into full-service only, and the French-inspired dinner menu takes over: dishes designed for sharing and pairing with what Wine Spectator recognized in 2024 with its Best of Award of Excellence — a distinction that reflects the seriousness of the wine and champagne list curated here.

Weekend brunch bridges both worlds, running Saturday and Sunday from morning through mid-afternoon.

Seasonal Ingredients, Scratch Kitchen

Every item produced in the kitchen is made from scratch. The menu changes with the seasons and with local produce availability, a commitment that extends to the market side of the operation and to a running series of recipes and cooking guides that Vakili shares under the Le Bon Nosh name — covering everything from roasted radishes finished with fleur de sel to Parisienne gnocchi. The kitchen sources from local farmers, artisans, and purveyors whose diligence Vakili describes as central to the restaurant's identity.

Beyond the Table

Le Bon Nosh runs a calendar of experiences that reflect how seriously the team takes education alongside dining. Monthly cooking classes with Chef Vakili, intimate winemaker dinners — including collaborations with producers like Etude Wines — and the ongoing Sommelier Showdown dinner series (a three-part competition in which two sommeliers pair wines course by course while guests vote) all speak to a restaurant that treats its community as participants, not just an audience. A recurring Farmacy dinner, presented with local growers present at the table, brings the farm-to-table ethos into direct, human contact.
