Atlas Buckhead

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

Where Art Meets American Fine Dining

Nestled within The St. Regis Atlanta in the heart of Buckhead, Atlas is a restaurant that refuses to separate culinary artistry from visual art. The dining room is adorned with works from The Lewis Collection — one of the largest private art collections in the world — alongside paintings by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita and Yan Pei-Ming. Vaulted ceilings, rich fabric banquettes, and moody tones set a sophisticated yet thoroughly unstuffy stage, one where Blondie and Oasis might drift through the speakers between courses.

Chef Freddy Money: Storytelling Through Food

At the heart of Atlas is Culinary Director Chef Freddy Money, whose approach to American fine dining is as deliberate and textured as the art surrounding him. Trained in top European kitchens — including the prestigious Alain Ducasse Group — and honored as a Krug Ambassade, Chef Money crafts menus that emphasize ingredients, provenance, and texture. His Chef's Tasting Menu is a journey unto itself: Kristal Caviar with scallops and bitter chocolate, The Finest Langoustine with truffle and corn, Westholme Wagyu with assorted pickles, and desserts like the FM Rocher with vanilla, hazelnut, and chocolate. Every plate reflects a deep respect for seasonal produce sourced through partnerships with local farms.

Accolades That Speak for Themselves

Atlas made history as the first restaurant in Georgia to earn Forbes Travel Guide's Five-Star award, joining an elite group of only three new Five-Star restaurants across the United States for 2026. The restaurant also holds a Michelin Star (2023–2025) and a Wine Spectator Best Award of Excellence (2025) — a testament to Head Sommelier Maxwell Pereira's exceptional cellar, which includes a gallery-worthy showcase of vintage brandies and bourbons.

Collaboration and a World-Class Stage

Atlas has become a magnet for global culinary talent. Chef Money's Four Hands Collaboration Series has welcomed luminaries including two-Michelin-starred Chef Thomas Allan of The Modern in New York, two-star Chef Kirk Westaway, and award-winning Chef Michael Elégbèdé of ÌTÀN in Lagos. These evenings epitomize Atlas's commitment to elevating American fine dining through a genuinely international lens.

The Garden Room and Private Spaces

Beyond the main dining room, The Garden Room offers an enchanting flora-themed setting ideal for a romantic evening or a convivial brunch. The Papillon Room provides a bespoke private dining experience with menus curated entirely around the guest. Atlas is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm to 10pm, with the last tasting menu seating at 9:30pm.

Forbes Travel Guide — Five-Star

Atlas Buckhead’s dynamic dining room sets the tone for a memorable evening. Banquettes are covered in rich fabrics. Ceilings are vaulted. Walls are done in dark, moody tones. The space is sophisticated, but with Blondie and Oasis streaming from the speakers, you know it’s not stuffy, either.Much of the impressive art filling the restaurant comes from The Lewis Collection, one of the largest private collections in the world. Should a piece catch your eye, ask your server for a closer look with the virtual program on a tablet. Not to be outdone by the stunning Zeng Fanzhi piece hanging on the wall, chef Money approaches each dish with the discerning eye of a sculptor. It’s one thing for a waitstaff to be in harmony, but it’s something remarkable for an entire meal to have such cohesion. Plates lower and ladles scoop as if they’ve been rehearsing the moves for months. A booth over, you’ll notice table crumbs being swept away and dropped napkins being picked up like scenes in a production.Consider the Garden Room to be theAtlantarestaurant’s more colorful side. This enchanting, flora-themed space works for a romantic evening with your significant other or a rambunctious brunch with friends. There’s such an artistic air at Atlas Buckhead, the signature eatery atThe St. Regis Atlanta, a docent could accompany you to the table. On the restaurant’s walls, you’ll find contemporary paintings from Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita next to some of Yan Pei-Ming’s finest pieces. You’ll also notice a gallery-worthy glass showcase of vintage brandy and bourbons that look like bottled art. Patrons enjoying the scene will be dressed to the nines — the only thing missing from their ensemble is a bidding paddle. And then there is chef Freddy Money’s open kitchen, framed in such a way that it even looks like art from a distance. Show-stopping American dishes done with European refinement come out to a symphony of precision and synchronicity from the staff. The plates’ varied colors, fragrances and textures reflect a culinary team that’s mastered a multitude of epicurean mediums. From personalized menus to individualized goodbyes, an evening at Atlas is a masterpiece in hospitality and haute cuisine.
