The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Global Name, a Dubai Address

Founded in 2001, Hakkasan has built its reputation across some of the world's most vibrant cities — London, Shanghai, Las Vegas, Miami — on a single conviction: that Chinese cuisine deserves the same reverence as any great culinary tradition. The Dubai outpost, set within Atlantis, The Palm on Crescent Road, has earned that argument decisively. Hakkasan Dubai has held a Michelin Star in the Michelin Guide Dubai every year since the guide's launch, a streak of recognition that speaks for itself.

Contemporary Cantonese, Precisely Executed

The kitchen works from a foundation of traditional Cantonese technique, then pushes it forward with premium global ingredients and modern methods. The menu is a study in considered contrasts — familiar forms made extraordinary by what goes inside them.

The signature Peking duck arrives whole or half, with sixteen or eight pancakes respectively, and can be elevated further with 30g of caviar. The jasmine tea smoked Wagyu beef ribs are slowly braised for four hours in aromatic spices before being wok-smoked over jasmine tea leaves — a dish the restaurant describes as "tender, sweet and flavoursome." The grilled Chilean seabass with honey incorporates local UAE honey sourced from Sidr trees in high mountain regions, paired with MSC-certified fish — a quietly sustainable standout. For those drawn to premium dim sum, the Supreme platter brings together kaffir lime lobster har gau, abalone, chicken shui mai with caviar, Galician seabass with fermented cabbage, and A5 Saroma wagyu with black bean sauce on a single plate.

The A5 Saroma tenderloin — wok-seared Hokkaido wagyu finished with pickled radish and a spicy tangerine sauce — represents the menu's most luxurious register, while dishes like the grilled black cod with truffle and wok-seared Boston lobster anchor the broader seafood offering.

The Drinks List

Wine Spectator recognised Hakkasan Dubai with its Award of Excellence in 2023, a reflection of a wine programme built around what the restaurant calls a "unique wine philosophy." The cocktail list — created by world-class mixologists — runs from the Silk Road Margarita to the Smoky Negroni, with each drink conceived to complement the bold, layered flavours of the Chinese cuisine on the plate.

Set Menus and Private Dining

For those who prefer a curated path through the menu, Hakkasan offers three set menus: the Dragon (AED 538 per person), the Pearl (AED 738 per person, with optional beverage pairing), and the Lotus, a vegetarian option at AED 428. Each follows a progression from dim sum and small eats through mains to a chef's dessert selection. Private events and large group bookings are accommodated with dedicated areas and tailored menus — a reason the restaurant has long been a destination for both intimate Cantonese dinners and significant celebrations.

As Equity Magazine's editor in chief put it: "For an intimate Cantonese dinner with a bevy of family and friends, look no further than Hakkasan… Overall, impeccable culinary offerings and service."
