Nestled on Kulparkivska Street in Lviv, ZWIN by SHOco is a place where the art of wine and the pleasure of great food are inseparable. Operating under two complementary identities — SHOco for its vibrant morning offer and ZWIN for its refined afternoon and evening experience — the venue welcomes guests from early breakfast through to late-night dining, seven days a week.

The space earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2023, a prestigious international recognition that speaks to the depth and curation of its wine programme. This is not simply a restaurant that serves wine; it is a destination where every dish comes with a thoughtful sommelier recommendation, guiding guests through an exploration of both Ukrainian and international bottles.

A Menu Built Around the Glass

At ZWIN, the kitchen and the cellar work in harmony. Daily tasting flights — from the accessible Знайомство з вином (Introduction to Wine) at six stops, to the elevated Winelovers set featuring an Amarone della Valpolicella 2019 — invite guests to discover new producers and styles. For a more immersive experience, curated degustation dinners pair a full evening menu with five wines: a Fish Set might open with Prosecco Treviso before moving through a tuna salad alongside Rosé de Xinomavro, while a Meat Set balances beef tartare with a structured Bordeaux and slow-braised beef cheeks.

The à-la-carte menu is equally considered. Cold starters such as salmon tartare with spicy aioli and guacamole, tuna tartare with Salvadoran fish, and velvety chicken liver pâté served with blueberry jam and brioche are each matched to a specific wine suggestion. Hot antipasti — tiger prawn tempura, baked mussels gratin, gorgonzola croquettes — continue the philosophy of pairing as a way of discovery.

A proud spotlight falls on Ukrainian producers. Bottles from Beikush, Faser's Wine, Terra Initia, and Shabo appear throughout the menu, celebrating the growing quality of domestic winemaking alongside celebrated names from Burgundy, Provence, Vinho Verde, and Marlborough.

Morning at SHOco

From 08:00, the venue transforms under the SHOco banner into Lviv's most gracious breakfast spot. Guests can choose from an English breakfast with craft turkey sausages, a Tel Aviv-inspired plate with hummus and pita, eggs benedict with house-cured salmon, or a delicate croissant filled with guacamole and poached egg. House-baked sourdough breads — spelt, linseed and poppy, malted — anchor every plate. The option to pair even breakfast with a glass of Cava Brut Organic is, of course, available.

A Cellar Worth Exploring

Beyond the dining room, ZWIN operates a wine shop, offers bottles by the glass, and sells gift certificates — making it as fitting for a spontaneous evening as for a carefully planned celebration.
