The story
Piccolino is a fine dining Italian restaurant in Kyiv that takes its cuisine seriously — from the provenance of ingredients to the ritual of preparation. Part of the La Famiglia group, it has built a reputation in the city as a place where Italian hospitality is felt as much as it is tasted.
The menu stays true to Italian tradition regardless of the season. Artichoke dishes are a constant, alongside fresh seafood, all varieties of mozzarella, and aromatic black truffle. Come April, delicate zucchini flowers make their appearance — guests have been known to say they taste better here than in Italy itself.
The signature dish that draws the most attention is Piccolino's pasta in Parmigiano Reggiano, prepared by the chef personally at your table. It is the kind of moment that defines the restaurant's approach: craft made visible, Italian dining at its most direct.
Wine is taken with equal seriousness. Wine Spectator has recognised Piccolino with its Best of Award of Excellence — a distinction the restaurant has earned for eight consecutive years. The cellar holds one of the largest Franciacorta collections in Ukraine, and nearly every month the restaurant hosts a festival of Italian wines, bringing producers and guests together around the table.
Piccolino works for a business lunch, an evening dinner, or a quiet romantic meal on the green terrace. The atmosphere is Italian without being theatrical — warm, unhurried, and attentive. It is the kind of room that makes you want to return.
