The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

Where Stockholm Eats at Altitude

Perched on the 13th floor of Brunkebergstorg, Tak offers something genuinely rare: a panoramic view over Stockholm's city centre paired with cooking that earns its place on the plate. The White Guide has recognised Tak at a "very fine level," praising a menu that balances innovation and comfort without tipping into either extreme.

Nordic Ingredients, Asian Sensibility

The kitchen's approach is precise — Nordic seasonal produce handled with Asian technique. The White Guide singles out a guacamole made from green peas, sharpened with the Japanese spice blend shichimi togarashi, as a standout snack. From the raw bar, oysters served with cucumber and ponzu are the smarter order. And a reimagined toast Skagen arrives with a bright, acidic edge from Japanese yuzu kosho — a classic updated with real conviction. This is Asian-inflected cooking that respects its Nordic roots without being timid about either.

Two Distinct Spaces

The main dining room on floor 13 is where lunch and dinner centre on local, seasonal ingredients chosen with quality and reduced environmental impact in mind. One floor up, the Izakaya on level 14 sits beside the rooftop terrace and bar — a livelier room with high shared tables and a different energy. On Saturdays, the Izakaya runs BonKaiten, a brunch concept where small dishes are brought directly to the table in a format that feels genuinely its own.

The Crowd and the Atmosphere

The White Guide describes Tak as "power dining for a new generation" — not gold taps and old money, but the kind of place where a good quarter gets toasted in good company. The clientele is creative, professional, sociable. The room rewards a long evening as much as a working lunch.

Breakfast, private dining, outdoor seating, and wheelchair access round out a restaurant that functions across the full day — always with that view holding steady above the Stockholm skyline.

White Guide — Very fine level
