Luzette

A French brasserie with a Swedish soul at Stockholm's busiest address, where rotisserie cooking and a France-forward wine list earn White Guide recognition.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A French Brasserie at Stockholm's Most Central Address

Luzette opened in 2014 inside Stockholm Central Station, occupying one of the city's most distinctive dining rooms. The name itself carries meaning — drawn from the word luz, meaning light — and the space lives up to it: a stately lobby setting with an intercontinental atmosphere that draws business travellers, tourists, and loyal regulars in equal measure.

The concept is a French brasserie interpreted through a Swedish lens. Seasonal vegetables, many grown in the restaurant's own cultivation, meet French classics and reinterpretations of beloved dishes. The menu spans the full day, from croissants and fresh-pressed juice at breakfast through lunch and into evening, with the bar staying open late.

The Rotisserie at the Heart of It

When White Guide awarded Luzette its Fine level recognition, the rotisserie was singled out for particular praise. Organic French chicken with crackling skin, served alongside crunchy potatoes, carrots, and radishes, is the kind of dish that earns a table its own reputation. The grill also turns out chuck roast, porchetta, and lamb shanks — but it is the chicken that the guide's reviewers chose, and the attentive service team knows exactly which wine to pair with each cut.

France is a constant presence, both on the plate and across a wine list that takes its cues seriously. The brasserie format — generous, convivial, unhurried — suits the station setting perfectly.

Art, Atmosphere, and Seasonal Traditions

The dining room is more than a backdrop. Works by artists including Cajsa von Zeipel and Magnus "Nug" Gustafsson are woven into the interior, some rotating periodically to keep the space alive. Much of the collection draws on feminine forms and references the Luzette lamp that inspired the restaurant's name.

Seasonal events give the calendar its rhythm. The annual Fête de la Moule — a two-week celebration of mussels in late summer — has become a fixture, bringing French culinary tradition to the heart of Stockholm with both classic and inventive preparations. The brasserie also accommodates large groups and private parties, making it as practical as it is pleasurable.

Finding Luzette is straightforward: ground floor of the central hall, steps from the Arlanda Express and T-Centralen, with an entrance also accessible from Vasagatan.

White Guide — Fine level

Inspired by international central stations, Luzette is a bright spot for tourists, business travelers, and other wanderers. The name also comes from the word "luz," which means light. The intercontinental feeling from the stately lobby extends all the way into the restaurant. When breakfast guests have finished their croissant and taken the last sip of cappuccino, it’s time for the rotisserie to get going. Chuck roast, porchetta, and lamb shanks rotate hot, but we choose a French organic chicken that has a crispy skin and is served with crunchy potatoes, carrots, and radishes. The attentive service knows everything about grilling and also recommends the right drink for the food. France is constantly present on both the menu and the wine list. Sated and satisfied, we feel like winners in a celebrity quiz show – of course, everyone is heading to Luzette!
