Thirteen floors up at Slussen, Freyja occupies one of the most commanding positions in Stockholm. The address is Hornsgatan 18 on Södermalm, and the view stretches across the city in every direction — water, rooftops, sky. It is the kind of setting that could easily coast on spectacle alone. Freyja does not.

The Stureplan Group Comes to Södermalm

Freyja is the Stureplan Group's first venture on Södermalm, and since its opening in spring 2023 it has drawn both view-seekers and serious food enthusiasts in equal measure. White Guide, which awarded the restaurant its Fine level recognition for 2026, noted that Freyja "does not settle for merely impressing with its view" — a pointed observation that captures what makes the place worth the trip beyond the panorama.

From Brunch to Late Night

The kitchen runs from midday through to the small hours, with distinct menus for brunch, lunch and dinner, alongside a cocktail list and a wine programme that supports proper pairing. That range — and the hours — make Freyja unusually versatile for a restaurant of this calibre. The rooftop terrace is one of the city's most inviting outdoor spaces, and on a clear Stockholm evening it is hard to argue with the logic of sitting outside with a glass from the wine list.

For private events, Freyja offers three distinct rooms: Chambre, Kyrkan and Pergola. Each brings a different character to the occasion, whether an intimate dinner or a larger celebration. The combination of a thoughtfully crafted menu and these dedicated spaces makes Freyja a natural choice for anyone looking to host in Stockholm with something more than a standard private dining room.
