Celebrated table

Bleck

Bleck sits inside a former park shed in Stockholm's Lilla Blecktornsparken – a White Guide-recognised spot for relaxed brunch, small plates and natural wine.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A park shed turned beloved local haunt

Bleck opened on Sweden's National Day in 2015, in a space that had previously served as a tool shed for park workers. The park itself – Lilla Blecktornsparken on Södermalm – was barely known at the time. Today it is a thriving green space with a paddling pool for small children and activity areas for everyone else, and Bleck sits at the heart of it.

The setting is genuinely unusual. A generous timber deck opens onto the park, and a greenhouse-like glazed extension houses a long communal table where a mirror ball turns slowly overhead. Whether you arrive on a warm summer evening or a grey winter afternoon, the sense of space and ease is hard to shake. Dogs, children, strollers and all manner of guests are warmly welcomed – and the staff carry the same unpretentious spirit.

Small plates, natural wines and weekend brunch

The menu arrives on lined notepad paper, which tells you everything about the tone. Dishes are small and shareable: creamy burrata with crisp almonds and a delicate chive oil, a tomato salad with baba ganoush made from Vreta yellow peas, chicken with miso mayo, and a buttery white cabbage lifted by the sharp brightness of red oxalis. The drinks list follows the same logic – natural wines from across Europe, Swedish-brewed beer, house-made lemonade and cocktails that don't take themselves too seriously.

On weekends, Bleck shifts into brunch mode from late morning until mid-afternoon, drawing a loyal crowd that clearly considers the place something of a neighbourhood institution. Between October and March the entire venue can be booked for private events, parties or conferences.

Recognised for exactly what it is

White Guide awarded Bleck its Fine level recognition in 2026, and the citation captures the place well: hammocks, table tennis, a paddling pool, waving dogs and rolling children – and food that matches the warmth of the surroundings. That combination of a genuinely relaxed atmosphere and cooking that quietly punches above its weight is what earns a brunch spot a place on a guide like this. Bleck doesn't try to be anything other than what it is, and that turns out to be quite a lot.

Hängmattor, pingisbord, drickakiosk, plaskdamm, viftande hundar och hjulande ungar –what’s not to like? I synnerhet i kvällssol. Slurp!). Menyn kommer på linjerat kollegieblockspapper. Skönt chosefri med andra ord. Precis som personalen.
