The menu carries the occasional personal twist, but the real talking point is a dish that has survived since the 1970s: ox fillet Africana, served with curry, coconut, peanuts, and canned mandarin. It sounds improbable. The staff will assure you it is delicious — and they are right to do so.

The Bar and the Setting

The back room at Tenan has a dark, unhurried atmosphere suited to sailors and anyone else who needs to thaw out after a day on the water. At the rudder bar, a stout or an Irish coffee does the job. In the height of summer, the restaurant opens for lunch in the park, with an unobstructed view down to the harbour — one of the more quietly spectacular tables on the west coast of Sweden.
