Torralbenc

A 74-hectare historic finca in Menorca with a Michelin Key restaurant, estate winery, and seasonal Mediterranean cuisine rooted in the island's land.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

A Finca, a Vineyard, a Table

Torralbenc occupies a 74-hectare agricultural estate in the southwest of Menorca, between Alaior and the coast, where whitewashed buildings dating from the 19th and 20th centuries have been carefully restored into a luxury agritourism property. The estate grows its own vines, tends its own kitchen garden, and runs a winery whose first vintage was released in 2016 after more than a decade of research. The restaurant sits at the centre of all of it — not as an afterthought, but as the place where everything the land produces comes to the table.

The Kitchen and What It Stands For

The cooking at Torralbenc is described, in the restaurant's own words, as mediterránea, honesta y de temporada — Mediterranean, honest, and seasonal. Ingredients come largely from the estate's own garden, and the menu is designed to be eaten without hurry, alongside wines made on the property. The approach is one of poc a poc: slowly, deliberately, with respect for both tradition and technique. This is Spanish seasonal cuisine in its most grounded form — not a showcase of complexity for its own sake, but a clear-eyed celebration of what Menorca produces.

That commitment has been recognised. The Michelin Guide 2025 awarded Torralbenc a Michelin Key, and Wine Spectator honoured the estate's cellar with its Best of Award of Excellence in 2021 — a distinction that speaks to the depth and curation of a wine list built around bottles made on the very same land where you're eating. The estate has also been recognised as Best Wine Tourism Hotel at the International Wine Challenge Merchant Awards Spain.

The Setting

The restaurant terrace looks out over the Mediterranean landscape of the finca — stone walls, lavender, rosemary, and 14 hectares of vines. The architecture is traditional Menorcan: lime-washed walls, natural textures, soft light. Dining here is an extension of the estate itself rather than a departure from it. The same unhurried quality that defines the food defines the room.

For those coming solely for a meal, the restaurant is open to outside guests. The wine list draws heavily on Torralbenc's own label, and the broader cellar reflects the same seriousness that earned it international recognition.
