The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

Where Contrasts Become Harmony

Nestled on the second floor of a quietly elegant address in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Mingles is one of Seoul's most celebrated dining destinations. The restaurant's guiding philosophy — mingling contrasting elements into harmony — is not merely a tagline but the very soul of every plate that leaves its kitchen. Here, tradition and innovation, land and ocean, producer and chef converge in a seamless, deeply considered expression of modern Korean cuisine.

Rooted in Season and Place

At Mingles, the journey of each dish begins long before it reaches the table. The kitchen works with carefully selected seasonal ingredients sourced directly from producers across the diverse regions of South Korea, building relationships that span mountains, coastlines, and fertile plains. Fruits, vegetables, and seafood that capture the true taste of each season are then transformed through the hands of the team into experiences that invite guests to feel the rhythms of the Korean landscape — course by course. This intimate dialogue between chef and producer is central to what makes the Korean cuisine at Mingles feel both deeply authentic and strikingly original.

A Trophy Case Built Over a Decade

The accolades speak to a sustained pursuit of excellence. Mingles has held Michelin Stars continuously since 2016, culminating in the award of Three Michelin Stars in 2025 — the highest recognition in fine dining. That same year, the restaurant climbed to No. 5 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, having already made a landmark debut on The World's 50 Best Restaurants at No. 44 in 2024. Further honours include the Best Chef Award Three Knives (Korea), Taste of Korea – Best Korean, and the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence (2024), underscoring a cellar as carefully curated as the food itself.

A Vision That Travels

The Mingles ethos has also taken root beyond Seoul. In 2020, the team opened Hansik Goo in Hong Kong — a sister restaurant that has maintained One Michelin Star since 2021, carrying the spirit of refined Korean cuisine to an international audience and affirming Mingles' place as a defining force in contemporary Korean gastronomy.
