JNcQUOI Asia

Four Asian cuisines under one roof on Lisbon's grandest boulevard, with a wine list earning Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence 2025.

The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

Where Portugal's Age of Discovery Meets Asian Cuisine

JNcQUOI Asia draws its concept directly from history. The sea routes opened by Portuguese navigators extended Lisbon's reach to India, Thailand, China and Japan — and this restaurant takes that legacy as its starting point, bringing together Indian, Thai, Chinese and Cantonese cuisine in a single, ambitious space on Avenida da Liberdade.

The result is a menu that moves across four distinct culinary traditions without forcing them into a single hybrid. Guests can move between the registers at will — a discipline that demands serious kitchen range and a wine programme to match. Wine Spectator recognised exactly that, awarding JNcQUOI Asia its Best of Award of Excellence for 2025, a mark that reflects both the depth of the cellar and the care taken in pairing across such varied Asian cooking styles.

The Dragon, the Bar and the Terrace

Inside, the Dragon is the visual centrepiece, setting a tone that is cosmopolitan and charged rather than minimal or hushed. The adjoining Bar Ganda takes its name from the first rhinoceros to set foot in Europe — brought by a Portuguese explorer and famously immortalised by Dürer — and the bar carries that spirit of curiosity and adventure into its drinks programme. There are no reservations at Bar Ganda; it operates as a walk-in space and a natural starting point for the evening.

The Terrace offers a different register entirely. Designed to evoke the energy of Tokyo, Bangkok and Hong Kong street life, it is framed by neon lighting, a Pagoda structure and dense tropical planting — an outdoor room that functions as its own destination within the broader venue.

Lunch, Sushi and the Long Evening

JNcQUOI Asia is open every day from midday, with the kitchen running through to midnight on weekdays and an hour later on weekends. An Express Lunch format runs Monday to Friday, including a dedicated sushi bar option — a practical entry point into a space that rewards longer, more exploratory visits after dark.
