At Rondo Daszyńskiego 4, in the shadow of the PZU tower, Amici has established itself as one of Warsaw's more considered Italian restaurants. The space makes an immediate impression: modern furniture, minimalist lines, and carefully calibrated lighting give the room a quietly elegant character that frames the food without overshadowing it. It is the kind of place that takes both design and dinner seriously.

The Kitchen and the People Behind It

The restaurant is co-owned by Karol Komorowski, who built his reputation across several Warsaw dining ventures before turning his focus to premium Italian cuisine. Leading the kitchen is Chef Dmytro Kalinichenko, a perfectionist by his own team's account, whose cooking style marries traditional Italian flavors with contemporary technique. He sources fresh, local ingredients wherever possible, and that attention to provenance shows across the menu.

The Italian menu spans cold and warm starters, Pinsa Romana, housemade pasta, risotto, and main courses. Among the antipasti, vitello tonnato arrives thinly sliced and dressed with a tuna-caper sauce alongside marinated beetroot and rocket; carpaccio di manzo features Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and pane carasau with an optional shaving of seasonal truffle; and a hay-smoked salmon carpaccio comes with red caviar and a tapioca crisp. The range signals a kitchen comfortable with both classic Italian references and more inventive presentations.

Wine, Events, and a Few Practical Notes

The wine program earned Amici a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2024 — recognition that reflects the depth and curation of a list assembled to complement serious Italian cooking. That kind of acknowledgment is rare for a restaurant of this age, and it speaks to the ambition behind the project.

Beyond regular lunch and dinner service, Amici offers a flexible event space equipped with a full bar, professional sound, and DJ capability — suitable for intimate gatherings or larger celebrations. The restaurant is also notably family-friendly, with a children's corner stocked with wooden eco-toys, making it a practical choice for weekend lunches as well as evenings out.

For those arriving by public transport, the M2 metro line, several tram routes, and multiple bus lines all stop within easy reach. Parking is available at the adjacent Warsaw Spire tower.
