The Man Behind the Name

Wolfgang Zwiener spent over four decades building a reputation on exacting standards before putting his name above the door. Today, twenty-one steakhouses worldwide bear that name — and the one at Gateway Mall 2 in Araneta City, Quezon City, carries the same uncompromising approach that made the original a New York institution. Zwiener personally hand-selects every side of beef, insisting on USDA Prime Black Angus for its flavor and texture. That beef is then dry-aged on premise and carved to order by the restaurant's own butcher.

The Steaks

The signatures are what you come for: the Porterhouse, Prime New York Sirloin, Rib Eye, and Filet Mignon — each arriving sizzling hot with a perfectly caramelized crust, meltingly tender within. Beyond the beef, the American menu extends to sashimi-grade tuna, fresh Norwegian salmon, and Maine lobsters, with classic sides like Creamed Spinach, German Potatoes, and Lobster Mac & Cheese rounding out the table. Starters such as Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell, Shrimp and Lobster Cocktails, and Sizzling Canadian Bacon set the tone before the main event.

The Room

Step inside and the design does the talking. A long, solid mahogany bar greets guests at the entrance, stocked with a wide selection of whiskeys, cognac, and spirits. The main dining room echoes the old-world charm of the original New York location — wooden planked floors, wood wainscoting, alabaster chandeliers, and a mosaic tile ceiling modeled after the Gustavino tiles of the flagship. Grand booths invite you to settle in. At the center of it all sits the wine cellar, which earned Wolfgang's Steakhouse the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2024 — a recognition that reflects the seriousness with which the list is curated and the depth of options available for pairing with those prime cuts.

Beyond the Table

Private dining rooms at select locations accommodate groups of up to thirty guests, and catering services extend the Wolfgang's experience off-site. For those who prefer to dine at home, Wolfgang's Curbside brings the American steakhouse directly to the door.
