The Man Behind the Name

Wolfgang Zwiener brings more than four decades of industry experience to every plate that leaves his kitchen. A veritable legend in the American steakhouse world, Zwiener personally hand-selects all sides of beef served across his twenty-one locations worldwide — choosing only USDA Prime Black Angus for its flavor and texture. That hands-on standard is what earned the original New York location its reputation, and it travels intact to The Podium in Ortigas Center.

The Steak, from Selection to Sizzle

The process is deliberate and unhurried. Beef is dry-aged on premise, then carved to order by an in-house butcher into the restaurant's signature cuts: Porterhouse, Prime New York Sirloin, Rib Eye, and Filet Mignon. The results, as the restaurant describes them, are "meltingly tender and juicy steaks served sizzling hot with a perfectly caramelized crust." It is American fine dining executed with an artisan's discipline.

The menu extends well beyond beef. Fresh seafood sits alongside the steaks — sashimi-grade tuna, fresh Norwegian salmon, and Maine lobsters among the highlights. Starters like Shrimp and Lobster Cocktails, Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell, and Sizzling Canadian Bacon set the tone, while classic sides such as Creamed Spinach, German Potatoes, and Lobster Mac & Cheese round out the table.

A Room That Earns Its Atmosphere

Step inside and the design does the talking. A long, solid mahogany bar stocked with whiskeys, cognac, and spirits greets you at the entrance. The main dining room carries the masculine, old-world character of the original New York locations — wooden planked floors, wood wainscoting, alabaster chandeliers, and a mosaic tile ceiling that echoes the Gustavino tilework of the flagship. Grand booths anchor the space, and the room is presided over by an award-winning wine cellar that earned Wolfgang's Steakhouse a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2019.

For private occasions, the Beverly Hills Room on the mezzanine floor accommodates up to 25 guests — a composed setting for business dinners or celebrations that call for something more than a standard table.
