The story
Set along Via Isonzo in Rovato, Alberelle delivers grounded country cooking surrounded by the vineyards of central Franciacorta. Owner Luca Dabeni manages the property as a working farm, ensuring the menu reflects the rhythm of the harvest and the availability of fresh produce. The kitchen operates on a Thursday-to-Sunday schedule, inviting diners to experience unpretentious meals made with respect for local ingredients.
The menu features staples of the province, including vitello tonnato and ravioli al Bagoss, a distinctive pasta shape unique to Brescia. Pumpkin-filled ravioli appear alongside boneless rabbit prepared with a traditional Brescian stuffing. For heartier plates, the kitchen offers manzo all'olio and the rovatina, cut thick like a Florentine steak. Sweet endings feature tarte tatin and a meringuini studded with chocolate drops. This commitment to territory earned a 2026 Faccino Contento selection from ilGolosario.
Alberelle produces its own line of Franciacorta sparkling wines, each aging on the lees for twenty-four months to develop complexity. The Brut bottling consists entirely of Chardonnay grapes, while the Rosè showcases pure Pinot Noir. A Satèn version provides a softer profile, complementing the richness of the pasta dishes and meat courses. Visitors can explore the cellar and sample the vintages from Tuesday through Sunday.
The grounds center around an old cascina building, offering a calm setting amidst the agricultural landscape. Six mini-suites allow guests to extend their stay, with access to a fifty-square-meter swimming pool set within the surrounding greenery. The atmosphere remains relaxed, catering to travelers who value comfort and a direct connection to the farming environment.
