The Restaurant

The dining room at Jörg Müller carries the character of its surroundings: Frisian in atmosphere, warm in welcome. The kitchen works with regional and seasonal ingredients, letting the produce of the island and its waters set the rhythm of the menu. The cellar is, by any measure, extraordinary. The Wine Spectator Grand Award is not given lightly, and at Jörg Müller it reflects a collection that spans rare and aged bottles from across the world — the kind of selection, the house notes, that is built to impress even the most exacting palate.

Among the house recommendations is Sölviin Solaris, a cuvée grown near the historic Keitumer Kirche on Sylt itself — produced at what is considered Germany's northernmost vineyard. The Solaris grape, suited to Scandinavian-level temperatures and salt air, yields a wine with subtle fruit aromatics and a character entirely its own. It is a fitting emblem for a restaurant that finds distinction in its specific northern corner of Europe.
