The story

Crafted with passion, served with love

Fun Dining on the Spree

MINA sits at one of Berlin's most striking addresses — Mühlenstraße 64 in Friedrichshain, with the East Side Gallery on one side and the river Spree on the other. The setting shapes the mood: vibrant, unhurried, and decidedly cosmopolitan, drawing a stylish crowd with live music and dynamic events alongside the food.

Italian Structure, Levantine Soul

The kitchen's identity is clear from the first glance at the menu. Italian culinary tradition provides the architecture — familiar forms, classical technique, a sense of generosity — while the flavours of the Levant bring brightness, spice and depth. The result is a cuisine that feels coherent rather than hybrid: dishes with a distinct point of view rather than a simple fusion exercise.

Macaroncini with crab sits alongside classic hummus, avocado hummus, pink beetroot hummus and muhammara. Prosciutto con Crema di Tartufo shares the menu with fattoush salad. Dessert lands somewhere equally considered — pistachio tiramisu with grappa. Each dish reflects the same principle: Italian structure meeting Levantine warmth, without either tradition losing its character.

Recognition and the Wine List

Wine Spectator granted MINA its Award of Excellence in 2024 — recognition that speaks directly to the seriousness of the cellar and the care taken in pairing it with a menu that moves between two distinct culinary worlds. The press has called it "cosmopolitan, bold, and deeply refined," and the Italian-Middle Eastern cooking here earns that description honestly.

A Space for Private Occasions

Beyond the main dining room and riverside terrace, MINA offers semi-private and private dining for events and celebrations — an exclusive setting on the Spree where occasions are planned with attention and hosted without fuss. Weekday lunches run from 12:30 to 16:00, with a two-course menu at 29€ that carries the same Middle Eastern touch as the evening kitchen.
