Cunningham's cooking draws from two directions at once: the kitchen garden just outside and a spice vocabulary rooted in warmer climates. Henne Kirkeby Kro operates seasonally, opening in early spring and closing in mid-December. Lunch is served Thursday through Saturday; dinner runs from Wednesday or Thursday depending on the time of year. The kitchen garden supplies ingredients directly to the plate, shortening the distance between soil and table in a way that shapes the character of every dish.

The team's stated aim is simple and sincere: to give guests an experience that makes shoulders drop and breathing slow — one that sends people home smiling and wanting to return.
